From an early age I have held a fascination for the power of the mind:
How do we form our attitudes and opinions?
If what we believe is really true, then why don't we all believe the same things?
Success or failure, happiness or depression, health or illness, is it all in the mind?

An Honours Degree in Psychology answered many of these questions, and I came to believe that, mostly, 'it' is all in the mind, and the mind can be changed.

I was then inspired to want to help people to make those changes, and the Diploma in Professional Hypnotherapy provided many tools and techniques to do so. I then discovered Block Clearance, a process to access, and resolve, the deepest roots of our unhappiness.  This method ensures that the changes we seek are permanent ones, and the training provided me with an in depth understanding of the nature of the subconscious mind.  I am still fascinated. 

My professional membership is with the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the Block Clearance Foundation.  I attend regular advanced training courses so I may remain at the forefront of modern techniques and developments.

Tai Chi and Reiki

I was first introduced to Tai Chi in 1997 and it very quickly became a part of my everyday life.  The benefits were evident almost immediately, as the stresses and strains of life disolved away and I just felt 'better'. 

Having discovered the feeling of 'chi' (life force or energy) flowing through my body I was then inspired to use it in other ways and went on to learn Reiki, a means to channel energy to assist the recipient's well being and healing.

I attend regular tai chi seminars with more advanced instructors including the world renowned Grand Master Chen Xiao Wang, the Standard Bearer of the Chen Family Tai Chi. 

I am a member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain and Three Counties Chen Taijiquan Association.  I qualified as a tai chi instructor in 2001 and hold a Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and Training (PCET).
